I don't mind acting as a clearing house for the EPICS symbols--if no
one else wants the job. Our symbols need to be administered anyway,
since we redistribute EPICS to the various Gemini sites. However,
I'd like to see the distributed symbols (extensions/src/edif/lib/sym)
match the distributed records (base/src/rec) and exclude any site-specific
ones.

Since there have been several sites which answered Bob's question,
I'll move the rest of the discussion off-line to those respondees
and others I know use EPICS.
