At BaBar we plan to use VME crates which have a CAN bus interface. Through
this interface one can (from an interface in another VME crate) do a system
reset or cycle the power. Also control fan speeds (for what that is worth),
and check power supply voltages.
We're using the Andrew Johnson EPICS CAN driver.
