This almost sounds like the record of my dreams! I would certainly endorse
including it with the R3.13 distribution. My vote(s) would be:
1. Add it to the base in R3.13
2. Don't replace the CALC record (but maybe put a note in the record
reference manual about it being obsolete). That way people can migrate
to 3.13 without doing violence to their existing databases and replace
existing CALC records more at their leisure.
3. Politely ask for it now.
