Hello EPICS folks,
To assist new users at Advanced Photon Source get started with EPICS,
the Beamline Control and Data Acquisition group at APS made a modest
attempt to develop an "EPICS for Idiots". It is called EPICS Learning
System (EPLRN). Based on EPICS 3.12.2, it includes a web page and an
IOC. More items will be added as we go. Please take a look at the
following web page:
http://www.aps.anl.gov/xfd/WWW/xfd/bcda/eplrn/learn.html
Although you cannot access the APS IOC without a direct access to the
APS network, some of you may find the web page helpful. It also includes
a section on how to install EPICS software at your site using the EPICS
Software Distribution web page. I have more sections under various
stages of development.
Comments and corrections from EPICS experts will be most appreciated.
Thanks.
Bakul Banerjee.
