We compile 3.13-beta2 with g++ on Solaris-2.4, HP-UX-9.05 and
DigitalUnix-3.2 without large problems. On HP-UX, g++ without
gas didn't compile epics. I had to install gas as well. Thus,
on Solaris, we use gas from the beginning. (I didn't try g++
without gas on Solaris.)
Since g++/gcc is dependent on header files of the operating
system, g++/gcc which was built on a different version of
operating system is useless.
Regards, Kazuro.
