Argonne National Laboratory, one of the nation's premier scientific
research and development organizations, is located 20 miles southwest
of Chicago. We have immediate opportunities in our Advanced Photon
 Source the following people:

 RF Engineer.

You'll be responsible for developing and analyzing new high-frequency
beam diagnostic devices and their signal processing electronics.
You'll also supervise the fabrication of new diagnostic devices, as
well as upgrades in the accelerators; manage the maintenance of
diagnostic devices; and play a principle role in the development of
advanced diagnostic devices. We require knowledge and skills
consistent with an MS or PH.D. in electronics engineering (or the
equivalent), plus 5-10 years' experience in low-level microwave or
 particle beam applications.

 Physicist

We'll rely on you to provide the design, analysis and testing of
particle beam and photon beam diagnositics' systems. Specifically,
your assignment will be within The Photon Source Group's orbit
feedback program for the storage ring (global, local, AC) and the
damping system. We require a Ph.D. in physics (or the equivalent),
plus 3-5 years' experience in particle beam or photon beam
diagnostics. Familiarity with digital signal processing; particle beam
dynamics; feedback technology; and accelerator beam diagnostic
 technology is critical.

 Electrical Engineer

Your duties will include the design, analysis and testing of
electronic components for charged particle/photon beam diagnostics'
systems. You'll be responsible for diagnosing/testing electronicl
logic; prepare/review material specifications, drawings and
components; evaluate designs, techniques, bids, and methods; and
specify materials and components. We require an MS degree in
electrical engineering, 4-7 years' experience in printed circuit board
design, fabrication and testing; and analytical techniques is
essential, while knowledge of high-energy charged particle beam
diagnostics systems; EPICS control system; and programmable logic
 devices is preferred.

Argonne offers a competitive salary and benefits package. For
