Jim,

  Can I get a copy before the next EPICS release?  The current 
free_gdct is just about unusable and has me very frustrated and annoyed.

A new problem I discovered last night is that it spontaneously swaps PV 
names over various like records, observed in the .db file.  I've also
seen multiple records spontaneously take on the same name in the X
window
but actually be the correct records when examined.  The program won't
allow
you to rename the records back to their original values.

Is it possible to set things up so that I can enter the macro $(S) in
place of the slot value in a VXI_IO DTYP Form?  If I edit the .db for
this
things work correctly on the IOC.  It's just that I can't get gdct to
accept it.
