Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System
There is a driver for the Kinetic Systems 2917/3922 crate controller.
This is not a serial driver, but a parallel bus driver with the capability to
run 8 crates over a distance of about 100 meters. LANL folks and myself have
produced a single package which supports the Hytec and the Kinetic Systems, in
such a way that the device dependent part is pretty cleanly separated. Adding
support for another serial driver should be very easy.
