The design of the original CEBAF device support would support any CAMAC
interface for which the ESONE/ANSII Standard CAMAC routines were available.
This includes a number of branch highway interfaces as well as the Kinetic
Systems K-bus mentioned above.
We used this at CEBAF for both the serial highway and kbus interface.
It did not include LAM support (added by LANL), but I'm not sure if the
hardware independence is completely preserved -- that is, the ability to
use any existing CAMAC library without modifications.
