Hi,
during the last 2 weeks I started compiling and running parts of the EPICS 3.12.2 distribution
on a SCO/OpenDesktop3 box.
Compilation is pretty straight forward, i.e. caRepeater compiles "fine" with cc or gcc.
libCom.a and libca.a were also easy to compile. Next step was to compile et_wish and cau.
Running cau in debug mode and a program called catime showed that there are communication
problems, e.g. CAS error messages on an IOC came up saying incomplete UDP packages received
... (don't remember the exact message)
My question:
Has anybody tried to get channel access to work on a SCO/ODT box?
What is usually the next step to trace the problem ... ?
/Stefan/
