Is var_ptr in 1.8 SNL same as pVar in version 1.9 ?
There are many sequencers using the reentrant option at CEBAF.
To access the user variables from the eacaped C code in SNL,
var_ptr has been used as a pointer to UserVar struct.
Now var_prt is no longer defined in version 1.9 SNL.
The existing sequencers developed in 1.8 SNL are not compatible
with 1.9 SNL.
