I request the platform developers for HPUX, DEC OSF1, Windows NT and others
to provide the official links to the EPICS Software Distribution Homepage.
I am getting a steady stream of requests from EPICS users.  It will be
quite helpful to them to be able to get to the software from the distribution
page.  Hopefully, it will reduce the administrative work for developers.

The submission process is simple.  Mark Rivers has established a nice
example for SGI and DEC VMS.  You can take a look at it, however you need
to have a user id and password to get to it.

Since most of you, platform developers, are active users, I assume that you
have signed the EPICS agreement. I can establish your user id and password
easily, if you need one.  Please send me an e-mail.  The password is issued
to a single contact person in an organization who distributes it to others.

I am also requesting individuals, who developed custom software that works with
EPICS, to submit them to this distribution repository.
