I find Hypertext annoying when I want a printed document to study
offline. Postscript *usually* works, although certain page-format
options do not; older LaserWriters can only handle US-Letter.

Just put "doc.version.ps" in the attic, with URL pointing to it.
Most browsers will default to ftp-like behavior on plain directories.
