Subject: more vxWorks statistics

Everyone,

Within an hour of posting the vxWorks statistics device support message
yesterday, I got two requests for making CA client statistics available
from the workstation.  I also got a request for the getting the vxWorks
task list from a workstation (without logging in to the IOC).

Since the task list and client statistics are reports, they do not map
well into any of the current records.  What I've done is use the same
facility that lists the record instances in a database to produce the new
reports.  I wrote a short unix program that you give the ioc name and
the report you want, and it spits out the report to standard out.

I bundled everything together in our anonymous ftp area:
 epics.aps.anl.gov:pub/epics/extensions/epics_stats.tar.gz

After compiling everything, boot your crate, load vx_stats.o, load
devAiStats.o, and run PVSstart() in the vxWorks shell.  Go to your
workstation and run one of the following:

 ioc_stats <your_ioc_name> PVS_MemStats
 ioc_stats <your_ioc_name> PVS_ClientStats
 ioc_stats <your_ioc_name> PVS_TaskList

The client statistics report shows all host/users connected to CA and
the number of channels each is connected to.
Report columns are (host - user - count) for each host/user.

You will need to create a small test database to try out the ai/ao
device support routines.  Look at the top of devAiStats.c for an
example database.
