You'll laugh at the results I got with the Macintosh ca - 36 seconds! Looks like it's
not a real OS after all.
I have a suggestion to avoid all this magic number business (the 1 µsec threshold). Why not
simply accept a value of zero (0.0) in ca_pend_event/ca_pend_io to mean 'no extra delay'
