I just want to make a few comments. beta13 has been running in
all iocs in the APS Accelerator for several weeks reliably.
Thus it has undergone a major test.

Due to experience I no longer consider any change minor if a new version
is going to be widely distributed. Especially a change in something like
channel access, which I am sure is what you are requesting.

If we have any change I would only feel comfortable if Janet, Jeff,
and I run all the test we normally run. In addition
each of the people responsible for other architectures especially HP and
solaris should build and test the new release. In addition some site should
run successfully for a couple of weeks before we declare success.
I think we are talking many weeks.

Again from experience no change is minor if changes are going to be widely
distributed.
