I would like to invite everyone interested in the problem of error
status codes to attend the next Software Sharing Workshop following
ICALEPCS, Nov 4, in the SwissHotel.  There will be a discussion of
error handling in the context of the cdev library (a layer over
channel access and other control systems).  There will be EPICS
people there, as well as SLAC, FNAL, CERN, and others, and the hope
is to come to a portable consensus on how to treat this problem.
(Or, more realistically, start to develop such a consensus).
