While we're talking about multiple outputs...
Just about every custom record I can think of has more than one output,
and although EPICS supports things like 'precision' and 'engineering
units' on a field-by-field basis (via explicit record-support functions
like get_precision()), there is only one description field for the whole
record. As a result, you have to dump outputs into dummy records just
to attach descriptions to them.
Anybody else having a problem with this?
