The archiver won't take samples unless ser2:emosub_44.VALA is changing.
I think this is a bug, but it is the way it works.  If you
want to take samples where some channels are changing and some are not,
you can put F (for fill) in front of the ones that are not changing .

For example if you have a counter calc record named "counter" 
that is being scanned  (and changed) more often than once every 5 seconds
the following should get samples
for ser2:emosub_44.VALA as well
 
 NAME: ser2
 DESC: test it
 ACT: always
 INACT: never
 TRIGGER: every 0:0:5
 SNAPSHOT: for 1 samples
 OUTPUT: set:txt ar/arSet/test.txt
 %endHeader%
 counter
 F ser2:emosub_44.VALA
