I'm glad that I am not the only one that has been frustrated by their
support staff.

FYI for those looking around for GPIB support --

This GPIB situation is one of the reasons for the development of
the HiDEOS system. R3.12.insert.todays.beta.here has the HiDEOS
support in it to use the Greensprings GPIB IP boards. CEBAF has a
configuration using it, and I have been running it in test mode. You
are free to learn all about it and grab a copy of HiDEOS from

      http://epics.aps.anl.gov/asd/controls/hideos/intro.html

The idea is that for the cost of a NI1014, you can get the lowest level
mvme162 and a Green Springs board... and be left with 3 IP slots left
over to do with as you wish. The 68040 on the mvme162 is dedicated to
the operation of HiDEOS. HiDEOS can do a number of things. My
personal fave is the total decication of it to supporting the IP I/O
devices for EPICS.
