Subject: Re: Recommended setting for XyCom 566 Analog input module?

My recent request for help with setting up jumpers and addresses for the
XyCom 566 board got me several e-mails, a couple of phone calls, and 2 FAXes!
So, thanks to Mark Rivers, Bob Dalesio, Ed Desmond, Jim Stevens and Andrew
Johnson (hope I havn't left anyone out), I'm up and running. Thanks Folks.

It is important to note that, with the exception of having to steal a
default.dctsdr file from Bob, all the code from the standard distribution
was compiled and linked on my Digital Unix (erstwhile OSF-1) Alpha box (both
host components & VxWorks images for the 68040). My Alpha also functions
as expected as theboot server for the IOC. I suppose that Alpha/Unix support
for EPICS has now moved from the "theoretical" to the "supportable" category.
None of those damn Sun boxes anywhere(!)

I'm continuing to build the various components of the kit as I need them.
Currently, I'm working on free_gdct. At some time, we should stick the
prebuilt software releases somewhere (APS software exchange?) where everyone
can get them. Until then, if anyone needs any statically linked binaries just
e-mail me.

Tony
