Never mind....
I'm talking with Deb and she points out that the stringout is putting to the
SCAN field. I assumed the stringout wrote to hardware.
If you continually change the scan field - you are continually going through
some extra code to process the writing of the scan field. It may be
that there is some semaphore with timeout in changing scan lists. The magRec
will need to be put on a different scan list - but it will be locked from
current record processing. This is conjecture. Marty would know best, but he
is on holiday until Tuesday.
I'm sure Deb pointed out that the scan field can be modified directly. This
is certainly more effecient use of memory and CPU. This loop will change the
scan field of magRec at the rate that magRec is processed.
