I thing we've about exhausted the encryption technical issues.

For the record, I, like Tony, prefer the public-key system.

I put forth the private key system suggestion because it minimizes
effort somewhat.  An engineering tradeoff.

Incidentally, another benefit of public-key is that for a beta, or patch,
or special of some kind the distribution can trivially be encrypted for
a subset of the recipients.  Additionally all users can exchange email
or files encrypted as when sharing repaired source code,
etc. using the public keys they've each generated.  And it is fun.

Pgp even has a mode allowing the encrypter of a message to force the
recipient to view it on the screen (and not easily save in a file) to
protect secret love letters from falling into the wrong hands..... :->)
Now you can have your affairs with military grade security.
