What version of VxWorks are you using?
There are some missing floating point emulation routines in the libs supplied
by WRS for the 5.1 version of the 162 BSP. We got a patch script from WRS:
# convertFpToSoft040 - add s/w fp support to 5.1 MC68040 archive
#
# modification history
# --------------------
# 01a,28may93,kdl written.
#
#
# This script will modify the 68040 archives to include the software
# floating point support which is included in the 68020 archive. This
# is suitable for the 68LC040 and 68EC040, which have no hardare fp
# support.
We just made sure that we modified a copy of our 040 libs since we have 167s
that do not need libraries that support software floating point emulation.
There is also a file called fpSoft040.c that we built into the kerel. This
file is also from WRS.
With this modification and using the -msoft-float compile option we have
EPICS running on 162s.
