This evening, at approximately 11:30PM, we achieved stored beam in our
synchrotron. Beam lifetime was approximately 2 hours on the first store!
Synchrotron radiation was observed from one of our beam ports by the
commissioning team from within the ring enclosure. Very exciting stuff my
friends. It appears that we have a machine to be exploited experimentally
in the very near future. We are tired but very happy.
