Does anyone know why a VXI_IO type device has inputs for signal and
parameter but only the parameter value gets used in the device code
(see devVxiTDM.c). If you look in the above listing, the parameter
field of structure vxiio is used as a char input. Why??? Then, this
gets converted into an integer that is THEN the signal (i.e., channel)
used to define a hardware channel (per card).
This gets even more nebulous when you are prompted for both the signal
and parameter when a VXI_IO type record is created.
Was this designed with a specific VXI device in mind because none of
ours work this way?
