The CAPFAST database generation program (edif2sr) uses
the colon as a hierarchical name separator.  So far we
have had no problems with 3.10/3.11.

Perhaps you overflowed the maximum PV name size.

We find that we rarely overflow names since we rarely
design with more than 5 levels of hierarchy.
