CAN
---
True - there's currently a VxWorks CAN 'driver' existing for the
CAN-IP module. At least two CAN modules talk to each other. This work is
done in anothr group at DESY. We will continue with this work which
probably will start in autumn. If we could work together with othrs I would
be really interested. Specially implementing the CAN-services is something
which needs more efford and should be shared.
There is another institute in Germany using CAN on VxWorks they are not
EPICS oriented and their code might come from a commercial company.
I could ask ...
RS 232
------
We run two protocols on RS 232 using the Greenspring IP module.
I have to check but I am afraid that the VxWorks-driver origially was
purchased from a german company.
But the EPICS device support is DESY-code.
TCP/IP
------
We have written a device support using UDP communication for the FNAL
'classic Protocol'. If this help s let me know...
Our current developments and drivers will be soon made available on our WWW
server.
