This class will give a very high level introduction to EPICS answering questions such as...
- What is EPICS?
- What does it do?
- How does it do it?
An overview of the "Getting Started" Lecture Series will be given. Find out which lectures will be useful to you.
The EPICS Vocabulary will be introduced. Find out what all the jargon means!
There will also be an introduction to the Virtual LINAC Application. The Virtual LINAC will be used throughout the lecture series for practical exercises. It will allow you to run you very own EPICS application to experiment with various EPICS tools and techniques
The class is intended for anyone who comes into contact with EPICS and wants to find out more about both EPICS and this lecture series.
