Java and JCA

This session will present an introduction to Java as used to develop EPICS applications. The emphasis will be on JCA, a library of EPICS client tools developed by Eric Boucher. An overview of the JCA application program interface will be provided, and some examples will be discussed and demonstrated. The new Java version of Channel Access, CAJ, currently under development at Cosylab, will also be discussed. This session should provide you enough information to get started using Java and JCA.
