Hello everyone,

I noticed that I can use hex numbers in DOL with EPICS 7 but not with

3.16.1, 3.15.5 or earlier.

What about adding this option to 3.15/3.16?

It should be sufficient to switch in dbFastLinkConv.c from base 10 to

base 0. This would generally allow hex (or octal) to string conversion

through links.

Does this make sense?
Is there a risk?
