I did not notice any oddness.

Unrelated to this, I had an old RELEASE.local around in a directory above
the base and scratched my head for a while why make in the base-7
directory picked up the wrong version...embarrassing to tell but was easy
to solve.

I try to repeat what I did and this time carefully note down all issues
that I encounter. During last weekend was just a quick exercise, I had a
bunch of other things to do at home so I was not very meticulous and just
wanted quick results.
