I succeeded in merging the changes from 3.16 and below into core/master
and the 3 submodules, and added the Boost header files from pvCommonCPP
into the libcom module so they get installed under include/os/vxWorks.
The result builds for me on Linux, VxWorks and RTEMS, and all the tests
pass on Linux (I do really like that we can run them in parallel).
I think the core/master build actually succeeds on Travis too, but there
are failures in some of the tests — the usual errlog one, plus it looks
like one of the pva2pva tests didn't shut down properly so Travis killed
the job.
I don't have APS Jenkins builds of 7.0, I think we will have to remove
the example module from the .gitmodules file for that to work.
Right now it looks like Michael is still working on trying to get
pva2pva to build on Windows and macOS (I turned off build throttling,
sped up the polling to every 20 minutes and disabled the example module
on Windows in case you want to keep trying with a faster turnaround, but
I know you've been working hard on this all day so I don't want to push
you; I don't think Ralph cares about either of these platforms).
I have started merging the rsrv-register branch into a (temporary) 3.17
branch but I haven't completed that yet. I was planning to merge the
remaining branches into this and then merge the result up into the
4-way, but I've run out of time to do that tonight, sorry!
I think it's worth running tests on the current commit state, but I do
still want to include the other branches in the final release, so maybe
this is a -pre1 and we'll come out with a -pre2 when they've been added.
Got to head home now, talk to you guys at the hangout tomorrow.
