Dear Core-talkers,

The new modularized EPICS Base structure has been pushed to the central LaunchPad Git repository of EPICS Base [1], into the branches

• core/master - startup, build system and tools, bundle build
  
• libcom/master - EPICS utility and OS abstraction layer library
  
• ca/master - Channel Access client library
  
• database/master - EPICS database, records, device support, rsrv server and IOC shell.
  

These four master branches are the new "focus of development" towards EPICS 7.

The existing master branch will be used as and renamed as branch 3.16 soon, i.e., it will be the integration and maintenance branch for all further releases of the 3.16 series.

The CloudBees jenkins job [2] that mirrors the LaunchPad repository [1] on GitHub [3] has been updated to include the new master branches.

Travis CI has picked up the new branches and successfully built the bundle [4].

Appveyor CI (Windows builds) and single-module CI builds will follow.
