I just ran make runtests on our R3.14.12.1 tree and got the same result:
blockingSockTest.t .........
A call to 'assert(this->sock != INVALID_SOCKET)'
by thread 'win132c' failed in ..\blockingSockTest.cpp line 172.

We have had this version running in operation for some time, so whatever the cause, there is no change in behaviour since the last release. Hence, we need to get to the bottom of it, but it isn't of immediate concern.
