Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System

The first pre-release of EPICS Base version 3.14.10 is now available for 
testing, see http://www.aps.anl.gov/epics/base/R3-14/10.php which contains 
links to the tarfile and various related documents.  An updated version of 
the Application Developers Guide is under development and will be posted 
soon.

Please make sure you read the relevent part of the Release Notes, which 
document the significant changes to date.  Note that there is a new version 
of the SNC/Sequencer which is needed for this release, version 2.0.12, a link 
to which is also found on the above page.

Please report both bugs and successes to the tech-talk list, including the 
architecture(s) you're using and the versions of any other tools if relevent.

If there are no major problems reported, we'll create R3.14.10-RC1 in 1 to 2 
weeks time, and if everything works out the final release *could* come before 
the EPICS meeting at INFN.
