Hmmm.
For linux64 the default for the GCC compiler is 64-bits. However, if
you want to build a 32-bit application on a 64 bit machine; you use must
add the "-m32" flag to GCC. I am going for the native 64-bit mode on
linux64. Although, I will have to live with some 32-bit apps on the
machine such as the vxWorks cross-compiler.
