Hi Matt and Core guys,
Is it necessary to have the EPICS core build on HP? I suppose the issue is the Channel Access client - and that must build there as there are no cross-compilers?
How many sites are still using HPUX and when will we stop supporting it? It seems a major drag on resources and schedule. Is it?

We are using R3.14.x on HPUX at Jefferson Lab. While we are planning our transition to another architecture (either Sun or Linux), we will be using HP with 3.14 for some time. I hope that the EPICS core group will continue its 3.14/HP support. As we get further into our planning we'll develop a transition schedule and share that with the EPICS core developers so that information can be incorporated into the development and support plans.
