The following is a brief summary of what needs to be done for R3.14.2.
I attached the name of who will do or at least coordinate each category.

Let me also propose a tentative date of Feb 27 2003 for final commits.
Please comment about date and/or list below.

Marty

CYGWIN - Jeff

1) Allow window builds with CYGWIN

Shared Libraries - Janet

1) Make shared libraries the default on Linux/Unix without requiring
LD_LIBRARY_PATH to be set before running binaries.
Consistent config macros across all platforms.

2) Version numbering so that binaries can't link against incompatible
   libaries. Is this for R3.13.2?

3) Windows?

4) More automation for combining separate products?
   Sounds like post 3.14.2 issue.

HPUX - Ralph

1) 3.13 apps compatibility mode is not workinhg.

2) Static builds don't work with either native HP compiler or gcc.

3) Some CA clients don't recognize an IOC connection going down.

4) Command line tools need to be finished, polished, tested and documente
d.

PCAS and PV Gateway - Jeff (Ken will also test Geteway)

1) Must be reliable before we generate 3.14.2.

2) Resolve performance issues.

Tornado - Andrew

1) Support for tornado 2.2

iocsh, registry, dbd commands

1) cexp or some subset of cexp. License issues don't seem to allow cexp.

2) dbd function statement. Being used to force linker to
link low level drivers and registration code. Is this an abuse
of the function statement? What should be done?

RTEMS - Eric

1) drvVme: OSI API so that VME drivers can work on both vxWorks and RTEMS
.

2) RTEMS BSP for MVME167 boards equipped with vxWorks bootstrap proms.
