ebrick Release Notes

This document describes the changes which have been made to the EBRICK support software. The earliest version appears at the bottom, with more recent releases above it.

Release 2-2-3

This version has the following modifications:

Added hardware and Scaler record support for the VME/uCDIMM BC-071 module.



Release 2-2-2

This version has the following modifications:

Added support for RTEMS uCDIMM (5282) Coldfire processor.



Release 2-2-1

This version has the following modifications:

Added support for Poseidon SBC from Diamond Systems.

All databases and MEDM screens have been rewritten for both Athena and Poseidon SBCs.

Added Linux device drivers to the 'drivers' directory.

Release 2-0-2

This version has the following modifications:

Corrected a problem with the Athena/Ruby DAC value not being updated using autosave.

Updated Scaler device support to new Scaler record.

Added interrupt support to the Generic Digital IO module based Scaler.

Added interrupt support to the OMS PCX8 driver.

Added strain gage support (Sensoray SMART A/D 518).

Added support for Diamond Systems Opal-MM module (8 optically isolated inputs, 8 output relays).

Added support for Tri-M FPGA104 DUAL IO22 DIO module.

Release 2-0-1

This version has the following modifications:

Added a feature to the Scaler FPGA firmware to allow counters to begin at zero and be part of the group. This required modification to the Scaler device support as well.

Added / modified documentation in “docs” directory.

Added a Linux device driver to allow communication with the OMS PC68/PC78 modules over PC104.

Added a Linux device driver to recognize an interrupt and automatically shutdown the EBRICK. This requires connecting pin 10 of the parallel port to the common of a momentary SPDT pushbutton switch. The NO is connected to +5V and NC to ground. The user can depress the pushbutton and within 20seconds, the EBRICK can be powered off.

Release 2-0-0

This major version is the initial release of the EBRICK.
