Development, analyses, specification, fabrication, installation, and performance evaluation of x-ray optical elements including:

Many of these optical components are subjected to extremely high heat load of the incident x-ray beam and as such are actively cooled.

X-ray beam power and heat flux can be as high as 10 kW and 150 W/mm2, respectively, and are expected to increase.

Design of a cooled substrate with minimal surface degradation due to the thermal load is a major component of our activity.
