Dear Potential Vendor,

The 2009 Users Week at Argonne National Laboratory is set for May 4–6, 2009.

This year's meeting has an exciting focus: APS Renewal. The APS renewal is being driven by key scientific needs in the user community to ensure that state-of-the-art tools and capabilities are available for the pursuit of answers in energy, environment, technology development, and human health research. Renewal plans span innovations in both beamline and accelerator capabilities and encompass upgrades in both hardware and software. This year will offer our exhibitors unique and timely opportunities to discover how your products and services may fit into this new phase of development at the APS. You can learn more about APS Renewal on the Web at http://www.aps.anl.gov/Renewal/.

Argonne 's Electron Microscopy Center will also be participating fully in this year's meeting. The Center for Nanoscale Materials will have some presence but will host a separate users meeting this fall (tentative dates are October 5–7, 2009), which will offer still more vendor opportunities.

As in past years, exhibitors will be able to integrate their company's participation in the meeting via a variety of sponsorship opportunities. Upgrades for vendor ad sizes are also available. If you are unable to attend this year, you can still give your company some great visibility by purchasing ad space in the program book or choosing to sponsor a social event, an award, or a student poster prize.

This year's exhibitor fee has been reduced to $1,200 for two attendees for the three-day meeting. Banquet tickets may be purchased separately. Exhibitor set-up will be on Sunday, May 3, prior to the opening wine and cheese reception that evening. Booth tear down will take place on Wednesday, May 6 after the afternoon coffee break. Additional vendor attendees may register to participate in the meeting for a fee of $100 per person per day (this cost includes lunch and other daily activities but excludes the banquet). The on-line exhibitor registration form and information about how your company can sponsor one or more of this year's meeting activities are available at http://www.aps.anl.gov/Users/Meeting/2009/Exhibitors/Exhibitor_Information.php.

As always, register early for your best chance to secure your first-choice location. Please remember that each person participating the meeting must be registered (either on the exhibitor application or via the APS visitor registration form) in order to attend. Non-U.S. citizens must register well in advance of the meeting to ensure that any necessary clearances are obtained. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have—please drop me a note at vendor@aps.anl.gov . We hope you will join us for what will be an exciting and memorable meeting.

Best regards,

Constance Vanni
Exhibitor Coordinator
