Current Position
- Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, Northwestern University, Evanston, IL 2002-present
Background
- NIH NRSA Postdoctoral Fellow, Harvard 2001-2002
- PhD, Chemical Physics, Harvard 2001
- BS, Chemistry, Stanford 1996
Activities
- Invited speaker at NNI Workshop: X-rays and Neutrons: Essential Tools for Nanoscience Research, 2005
- Committee member of BESAC Grand Challenges Subcommittee for DOE, 2006-present
- Keck-II Facility Faculty User Committee, Microfabrication and Nanofabrication Committee, Materials Research Science and Engineering Center Shared Facilities Committee ( Northwestern University ), 2006-present
Goals
- As part of the CNM UEC, I would like to represent two different classes of users: those who need access to state-of-the-art instrumentation and those who only need access to workhorse equipment. I believe that if the CNM facilities can meet the needs of both sets of users, it will not only meet its scientific and technical mission but also facilitate broader collaborative efforts for a diverse nanoscience community.
