Description of the Award: In conjunction with the Advanced Photon Source, the APS Users Organization has established the APSUO Rosalind Franklin Young Investigator Award to recognize an important technical or scientific accomplishment by a young investigator (within two years of his/her Ph.D. degree) at, or strongly beneficial to, the APS. The award is open to both postdoctoral appointees and senior graduate students.
The award, which consists of a plaque plus and a monetary award of $1000 will be presented at the annual APS Users Meeting. The recipient of the award will also be asked to present a 20-minute lecture on his/her research at the meeting.
