Goals
- I believe the APSUO steering committee must work with APS management towards the single goal of excellence in research. Over the last several years the APS has been working hard to complete the transition from facility development to operations. There have been some major successes as seen by the scientific output from the facility and the implementation of the general user program. Critical issues remain, however, such as full beamline staffing and detector development. I intend to help direct APS resources to these important areas so as to guarantee continued scientific excellence at the APS.
