ID White Beam Slits

ID White Beam Slits The CMC white beam slit assembly on 9-ID consists of 3 separate Glidcop masks, which are modifications of the APS L5-83 design and can be positioned independently in terms of vertical, horizontal, yaw, and pitch motions. The first provides a fixed-size entrance aperture of 2.3 x 2.3 mm^2, while the other 2 each include 2 tungsten knife-edges at right angles. Together they allow further reduction of the beam to any user-required size.
