Subject: NX and Nano school this summer, SRI 2003 abstract deadline


Fellow MHATT-CATers,

I thought I'd forward several deadline info and meeting information for
this year of interest to X-ray science.

There are two summer school this summer at ANL of interest to graduate
students and postdocs ran by the ANL Dept. of Educ. Prog.
One is on nanoscience with a deadline of May 12th 2003

One is on Neutron/X-ray science the now well known summer school held at
APS/IPNS/ANL. The deadline for it is April 30th.  See

application details. Don Walko last year taught in this school.
Please encourage your students to apply!

Please note also that the deadline for the International SRI 2003
Conference is approaching. I would encourage people to submit abstracts of
work done at MHATT-CAT to this conference. Proceedings will be published
by the American Institute of Physics, as a volume in the AIP series of
conference proceedings and electronically. Conference attendees and AIP
subscribers will have access to the published proceedings on the World
Wide Web. See the SRI2003 page for details. The abstract deadline is March 3rd, 2003.

Please note also that the 12th APS User Meeting is scheduled for April
29-May 1st, 2003. The abstract deadline is April 1st. See
the 12th UM web page for more information.

There is of course this summer the X-ray Gordon conference as well, the
SPIE meeting, the ACA Meeting, etc... The APS maintains a web page of
appropriate conferences so check it out for further details.
