Intermediate Energy X-Rays (29-ID):

The Intermediate Energy X-Ray (IEX) beamline 29-ID is currently under construction at the Advanced Photon Source. First light is expected in spring 2012, with experiments starting in 2013. This beamline will operate at energies between 250 and 2500 eV and will focus on:

  • Angular resolved photoemission spectrscopy (ARPES).
  • Soft x-ray resonant scattering (RSXS).

Currently, IEX is part of the Magnetic Materials Group in the X-ray Science Division of the Advanced Photon Source.
