Accelerator Downtime

  • Intentional Dump – End of period

Beamline Downtime

  • 23 ID - PSS serious fault. SI group found a DIW fault on chain B which prevented PSS fault from being reset
    LOVE controller replaced
  • 5ID – Beam unusable during compacting for the SPX building project (counts went from 300K to less than 100)
    No Intervention

Stats

  • 99.36% - Beamtime
  • 86.79 hours - Meantime between faults

Safety

Edmund Chang

  • Acetone bottles are not for storage use.
  • APS Engineering Support Division will be one of the nine divisions being audited.
  • Traffic violations have been occurring more frequently. Please make sure ANL regulations are being followed at all times.
  • October inspections took place in Bldg. 436 and are complete. The 401 labs are scheduled for November inspections.

Jim Lang

  • Because of Continuing Resolution, upon suggestions from DOE:
    Operations in FY2008 were tentatively reduced from to 4856 Hours
    • Difference is 18 shifts (144 hours)
    • Run 2008-2 may be affected
    • BAC for 2008-2 meets on April 8, 2008. Decision will be made by April 3
