Operations Update, Mark Beno
There was one accelerator problem this week, which resulted in 2.48 hours of downtime. The trip was due to a power supply failure.
Stats:
- 98.9% - Scheduled beam time
- 130 hrs -- Meantime between faults
There will be a monthly operations meeting on Wednesday, June 27 th at 2:30 p.m. in the auditorium. Refreshments will be served.
Safety, Edmund Chang
T. Barkolow and P. Rossi have hired a student who will be doing a chemical inventory. The ASD areas will be inventoried first followed by AES and then the XSD/user areas.
The results to the Industrial Hygiene Surveys are as follows:
- 433/434 -- Results below limit.
- 432/435 -- Detection of lead on the top of the Lathe.
- 431/438 -- Detection of lead on the table of the Belt Sander.
Overall, the results are better than in the previous 6 months.
